This is my mother's only sister..Florrie is born in Bamberg SC but moved to Bath SC in Aiken County when she married Seab Chavious...She was only 13yrs of age when she left there w/her husband..In those days they had ice-boxes (that is a refrigerator & one had 2 continuously buy ice by the big block size to keep in the "freezer portion" 2 keep items cold)...He ran the local ice-house in Bath on Hwy 421 w/wife...A short time later they purchased the store across the street & Blanche Thompson her sister & her mother, Mamie Thompson helped in the store as salespeople...Then they found opportunity behind there (which is by the railroad tracks & on the other side is LBC High School) to purchase another store w/a poolroom & pinball machines w/a house adjoined to it...They lived there until retirement...They bought a house on Maple St behind the old ice-house where they lived until after Seab died...Florrie then lived w/her sis, Blanche, in Aiken and her family..Basically this is the only family she had..They had 2 children who both died at birth...Seab has a brother, "Dink" in Bath SC and Florrie also had a brother, John, who died at a very early age from blood poisoning...He married, Elizabeth from PA & they have a daughter Vivian Desrie Thompson their only child..Her children & Aunt Florries niece has 2 children Charles II & Kathleen Eliz McConnell Suttikus...You can email w/any info at [email protected] gr8ly...
